The End of Katekyo Hitman Reborn

Another series I started watching before the blog started, which now, I've finally watched 'till...the "End"...

So, my thoughts about the comedy anime/manga series turned battle anime/manga series titled in America as simply "Reborn" as a whole... After the jump break of course.

-------------------------------

Well, this series starts off being about your... (mostly) ...average loser who isn't really good at just about everything who ends up doing outrageously crazy things after getting shot by magic bullets fired at him by a baby mafia hitman... I swear, it's better than that description sounds.

But then, as threats from the criminal underworld keep kicking up the threat level to our "hero" Tsunayoshi Sawada (or just "Tsuna" for short) ends up learning to fight to protect not just himself but also those he cares about. Even when a threat to not just this world but to every parallel world related to it... (yikes!) ...that's when the stakes are taken to THE EXTREME! ...Yes, I had to do that. But even when it started transitoning to becoming a battle series, it still had some hints of it's comedy origin (mostly with the "Monster Tamer Tsuna" mini-series). Although even when I was so hopelessly behind that these were useless, I found the horoscope segments at the end of some episodes (along with the various sketches) to be rather amusing.

So, even when it became clear that Reborn was being clearly more of a mentor in general rather than a mafia boss trainer disguised as an at-home tutor... Hence the title of the show! ...In case anyone here didn't know, if the "Katekyo" part of the title was translated into English it would end up being called "Home-tutor Hitman Reborn". Oh yeah, my point is; even when the title was becoming more of an artifact of it's origins, it was still an enjoyable show to watch. And I don't regret watching it at all!
