Overthinking Things: My Little Pony Friendship is Magic and the "Keys of Harmony"

Yeah, I know is being posted *after* Pinkie Pride (so, yeah, spoiler alert if you haven't seen these episodes) but if you've seen up to that episode or you're willing to read spoilers, I'll see you after the jump.

There's something I noticed with the "rainbow keys" so to speak. Before we even see the key the relevant pony gets this "rainbow shine" in the eyes along with something rainbow-related in the environment when they see a revelation about their own element of harmony...
Rarity-The rope barrier and realising her friends had apparently abandoned her because of her own selfish reaction to being taken advantage of. (Episode: Rarity takes Manehatten)
Rainbow Dash-The light reaching the Ponyville flag and realising where her loyalties lie after delaying this decision. (Episode: Rainbow Falls)
Pinkie Pie-There were several (possibly fake out) rainbow shines in the environment but, oddly enough, most likely the rainbow colored cake-pinata and realising that her and Cheese Sandwich's competition over who'd make Rainbow Dash laugh was having the opposite effect. (Episode: Pinkie Pride)

And, finally, the "keys" are all something given to the relevant pony by somepony they ended up teaching something about their own Element of Harmony.

Rarity-The rival fashion designer's former assistant and the rainbow thread.
Ranbow Dash-Spitfire and the Wonderbolt badge.
Pinkie Pie-Cheese Sandwich and the rubber chicken.

At the time of posting, we have yet to see the "key" episodes for Applejack, Fluttershy, and Twilight but, given what I've seen here, will most likely involve the aforementioned ponies teaching someone about Honesty, Kindness, and...Friendship (which is, of course, "Magic"). Now that I think about it, I would not be surprised at all if Discord ends up being the one to give Twilight her key.

Things could end up like I thought, but maybe I'm just... Overthinking things...
