Yes, I saw a video (which for some reason I can't find now...) where in response to rumors of the possibility of a female incarnation of the Doctor, someone (maybe Steven Moffat) 'went on record' to say that, "The Queen of England should be played by a man."...
OK, that's way too much of a tangent. First of all, unless the definition of Queen has changed recently, that particular title is too tied into the female gender. Unless you're talking about Drag Queens, but then again the Queen of England being a Drag Queen could be interesting, but now I'm going on a tangent; moving on.
Second of all, despite what some rather sexist people might think, female (medical) doctors 'are', in fact, a thing! They exist!
Also, in-universe, it has been stated that physical characteristics change with regeneration like hair and eye color. And, unless someone on the production team goes on record to state that Time Lord genetics regarding sex work differently than humans, a beings sex is determined by a single pair of chromosomes. So, who's to say that 'that' particular pair 'never' changes during regeneration. Nope, it is mentioned in the revived series episode "The Doctors Wife" that Time Lords, or at least that it happened to the Corsair, but that at least establishes the possibility of it happening.
As for what I've read about those women who'd never ever want to see a female Doctor, maybe they're absolutely straight ladies with a case of perverse sexual lust for the Doctor (not that there's anything wrong with that).
Is the lack of a female incarnation of the Doctor just a result of our sexist world, or am I just...overthinking things?
