This Week in Animal Crossing New Leaf 6/30-7/6

Welcome to the first post of This Week in Animal Crossing New Leaf!

My character is (of course) named Shimohi and I'm the Mayor of a town named Tasogare (Dream Address: 4200-2141-4295). The villagers (not counting Niyagi and Akurei) are...
Frank the Cranky Eagle, Kiki the Normal Cat, Leonardo the Jock Leopard, Bangle the Peppy Tiger, Buck the Jock Horse, Kyle the Smug...Coyote(?), Charlise the Big Sis Bear, Gloria the Snooty Duck, and Beau the Lazy Deer.
Tasogare has a Dream Suite (of course!), a night club, a real estate office, a post office, a garden supply shop, a shoe and sock store, a salon, a museum, a thrift shop, a police station, a campground, the Able Sisters run a clothing and accessory shop of the same name, and the Nook brothers run the supermarket "Super T&T".

So let's jump into This Week in Animal Crossing New Leaf! (get it, the original Japanese title of this game can directly translate to "Jump Out Animal Forest")



(Note: 6/30 and 7/1 are done from memory, so they're just a summary rather than the usual list of events. And although 7/2 is in list format, it's also by memory, it's a short list.)

2013/6/30
Ran into an occurrence of Club Tortimer Island Vandalism for the first and second time, the second involved me chasing the offender around the island 'trying' to cut his head off with the ax, even though I know that's impossible, and blocking the motherf***er, of course; but still lost my faith in humanity. Then ran into a lady who faced a similar ordeal and both of us had our faith in humanity restored.

2013/7/1
Ended up spending the day 'cosplaying' Takashi Natsume in cyberspace to celebrate his birthday. Mentioned this to some guy on a Club Tortimer Island...and he left.

2013/7/2

• Restored my hair to normal, didn't go to a Club Tortimer Island today.
• Frank the Cranky Eagle visited my house at 9pm.
• But I've got my debt from expanding the basement paid off, hurray!
• Crazy Redd came to town, picked out the Famous Painting.

2013/7/3

• Good news, Frank sent me a piece of furniture from the Exotic series. Bad news, it was an Exotic Chest. Which I already have, no! Why couldn't it be a chair!? Put the Exotic Chest up for sale at Re-tail for 400 bells.
• One of the four fossils of the day was near my own mailbox and another one was at the back left corner, lucky!
• 2/3 Cherry trees have produced fruit for the first time, just need to plant tree number three.
• First Pink Lily and a Orange Lily sprouted in Tasogare!
• Beau the Lazy Deer visits my house, apparently he dreamed of visiting my place.
• Found a lost bag of...something, in front of Leonardo the Jock Leopard's house. Turns out it belongs to Buck the Jock Horse.
• Megacero torso and the aforementioned Famous Painting added to the Museum. 26/30 Complete fossils. 3 Paintings and 0 Sculptures Collected.
• Bangle the Peppy Tiger gave me an extra Groovy Wall(paper) of hers and suggested we could be twins, I'd rather not. (-.-)'
• Money Rock spat out 16.1k bells and the Exploding Ore/Fake Rock spawned in the middle of the tulips in the hybrid flower breeding area (NW corner of Tasogare; unofficial designation).
• Today's Special Guest is Hugh the Pig, who's staying at the campground.
• Ran into so many island vandalism trolls it's making me lose so much of my faith in humanity...and only one decent dude. *sigh* it's one of those days...

2013/7/4

• Got a suggestion from Mr. Blathers, head of the Tasogare museum, to get a cafe built. This is the last of the three items on my want list, the previous two being the night club and the salon. Hurray!
• The special guest today is...another visitor in the campground, this time it's Naomi the demonic-looking cow. Akurei'd likely complain about why she isn't a permanent resedent.
• Went to an International Club Tortimer island and...there wasn't any major island vandalism! Ok; one tree was reduced to a stump and someone left a fishing pole on the ground, but that stump helped me catch a longhorn beetle for the first time and (compared to the levels I've seen lately) littering is so minor that it's a non-concern...now that I think about it, I only remember seeing island vandalism on the North American exclusive islands...this needs investigation!

2013/7/5

• Not that much happened, had to resort to time travel just to make sure I got the basic chores done for today. What with what I've seen online, I think I might swear off going to the North American Club Tortimer again; because it's full of selfish, inconsiderate ***holes...unless my hypothesis, that this island vandalism bull**** is restricted to the North American Club Tortimer islands, is proven false.

2013/7/6

• While taking care of the usual chores I mentioned for the day before; which are (by the way) watering the flowers around Tasogare, looking for fossils and both the Money and Exploding Ore Rocks for the day; I found something amazing...a Jacobs Ladder flower! If you don't know what this means, it means I've achieved Perfect Town status! (WOO!) Now I think it'll be easier to get hybrid flowers now...assuming that Jacobs Ladder flowers don't instantly disappear at 6am the day you ever lose Perfect Town status.
• The Roost Cafe opened today. I'll likely be wasting 200 bells each day on digital coffee.
• Listened to, and picked up a copy, of K.K. Sliders Song "Two Days Ago" a favorite of mine since the GameCube days. Interestingly enough, two days ago is also the first time I ran into a lot of island vandalism...
