Genshiken Second Generation the First Impressions.

Okay, okay, I admit it... I didn't finish the first series yet! *ducks to avoid a myriad number of thrown objects* Well, with that out of the way, here's what I thought of the first episode of Genshiken Second Generation (after the jump break of course) ...

So it seems that Sasahara, Madarame, Kasukabe, Kosaka and... that one guy who makes cosplay costumes (sorry, I forgot his name) have all graduated leaving only Ohno and Ogiue as the only remaining characters I know by name, but they also look a bit different. Oh yeah, I also recognize Kuchiki who looks pretty much the same, but I missed the start of him considering the female club members to be part of his "harem" thing...

Okay, and there's several new characters, some that are just new to me. Like Sue, the exchange student who (it seems) mostly talks in anime quotes.

But there's three new characters that are joining the group, but there's only two of them that I specifiably remember. That one girl who kind of looks like... *looks up name* ...a female version of Tanaka (he's the guy who made the cosplay costumes) and a trans-woman, who I say passes very well...

And with their addition to the Genshiken roster, as Ogiue noted, the otaku circle's turned more into a "rotten girl circle"... Not that there's anything wrong with rotten girls.

And although the aforementioned previous members are technically not part of the club any more, they still show up. Most noteworthy when Madarame gives Hato (the trans-woman) a spare key to his place so she'd have a safer place to change clothing.

Well, the tl:dr version is... Wow, I'd like to see what exactly both the new and old characters do in this series!
